Thanks, Cathie! I really believe that by raising these issues and showing all kinds of different people, I can help people understand each other better. I've grown up with lots of different people around me and I think that has helped me to be more aware of how everyone contributes to the overall picture, but in different ways.

I do feel that Caridad, that you address these issues that come up in our lives and not just open up our minds to the issue for others to read about, but for us to re-evaluate about too. I know I have a wonderful hubby who grew in love with me and accepted my deafness, but too there's so many people I have to deal with each day that do't understand.

You're so totally right, Pam. I get the sense that some of these people have never read a romance in their lives and are relying on outdated ideas about romance books! Boy, would I like to set one of my nastier vamps loose on them. LOL!

I’ve often heard the comment from interviewers or others that I write romances, what kinds of issues could I possibly raise?
what the heck is these folks thinking. You can't have issues and be in love. Thats just weird. You can have all kinds of issues and fall in love.
