I have on a number of occasions had dream visits from people who either had passed or who I thought had passed (and hadn't). Normally they just let me know they're ok. The ones that aren't dead are verbal the ones that have passed are non verbal. It's a mysterious world we live in...

I've never encountered a ghost but my aunt swears that her husband (my mother's brother), my mother and my grandmother have all visted her at least once but my uncle is there quite often. Also, as with a lot of people on the edge of death who see loved ones, my uncle knew the exact time his mother passed away the day before he did although no one told him. In fact, when I called to tell them she had passed, they told me the time.

I enjoyed the story too - not too scary (at least for me lol) but quite fascinating. I probably would have stayed up most of the night trying to figure it out.

I loved the story you wrote its really kind of a wild experence. I would just love to visit Scotland so I am very jeolous. I believe I wouldn't mind to have a few ghost, I could put up with them, just so I could visit Scotland and see all the beautiful highlands that you are always reading about.

What a great story! I've always envied those who have had an experience like this. I've never had had the honor and I'm quite jealous when I read such accounts! I ready to graduate from deja vu to the real thing any time!

Well, I've found a way to get rid of the
post-lunchtime drowsies! I'm going to
print out a copy of Gretchen's tale of
ghosties and ghoulies and tape it to the
screen of my monitor. I'll read the tale
every day after lunch. I will no longer
have a problem staying awake!!!

You're welcome, I've had fun with it. The best part of the trip was the first week. We stayed on Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides on the north end of the Island. It was just breathtaking. It was mystical as well as humorous. We saw five or more standing stone sites while we were just on Lewis. Four of those were stone circles. There was a restored norse mill and kiln and a few other iron age sites. Perhaps the thing that generated the most humor (besides "Sidewalk Sidewalk Ditch") was the sheep in our back yard. There were two in the back yard while just outside the yard fence there were hundreds of sheep. We had a great deal of fun speculating what those two sheep had done to get grounded like that. Turned out that in fact they were knuckleheads that kept getting into the community garden.

I've always thought of Scotland as mystical and romantic, but this Gretchen has given me a different light to reflect. But I still hope to oneday to visit Scotland but don't think I'll be brave enough to taste those Haggis or the blood pudding, but if I bump into a cute Highlander or two *lol* just hope they aren't ghosts! Thanks for sharing the story, really enjoyed it

WOW! That was a great adventure, Gretchen. I've never had any type of experience like that before. I'll just have to live it thru the books and the stories I come across.
