I have to confess. I spent part of Saturday and Sunday watching football. I haven’t done it in years, but this year hubby and I got back into watching the Jets and Giants.
We won’t even talk about the Jets, but the Giants have been a pleasant surprise. Yesterday’s game was amazing. A 48 second touchdown drive and a second half defense that held back the Cowboys. Go Giants! Don’t think they’ll beat Old Man Brett Favre and the Packers, but I can hope.
But here’s my guilty secret — I don’t just watch for the game itself. Nope. It’s those wide shoulders, bulging muscles and tight little pants. Come on, ‘fess up. You feel the same way!
Actually, I’ve always had a thing for muscular jock types. In football, there’s those amazing running backs and fullbacks. The linebackers, wide receivers and tight ends. Lean, fast and powerful, it’s amazing to watch such big men move with such speed and grace. It’s too bad, though, that they can’t get all that padding and stuff off to celebrate the end of the game the way they do with soccer.
So think of me next weekend and give a little root for the underdog Giants. They are going to need all they help they can get against the Packers.

Oh, what a game!
I left the room for the 2nd and 3rd quarters because I was sure they were going to get clobbered. They usually do.
But, the Giants never fail to surprise…just like the Mets.
I wish Brett Favre would shave.

It makes him look so elderly! LOL
