I think it was from when he appeared in HUD. He had that look in his eyes...pure devil, pure sex.... And, while he was far from a devil, I understand his wife never complained about the other part, which was very, very real. Such a sad loss for everyone. He and Robert Mitchum have always been my favorite stars. They had that something extra that made them stand above other actors. Couldn't you just drown in those blue eyes of his? He was also of of the rare ones who stayed with his wife all these years. I have never heard of him straying as so many do. That is unheard of today. Marriages come with swinging doors anymore. His charities have helped so may especially children. That also makes him stand out as today's crop of actors seem more intrested in self than helping others. He will be misses.
