Dinner will be on April 25th at the Spindletop restaurant, conveniently located at the Houston Hyatt Regency hotel. (The contest does not include transportation to Houston). Anyone who will either be at the RT Booklovers Convention or who will be in the Houston area is invited to enter the contest.
The Spindletop is Houston’s only revolving rooftop restaurant and boasts an amazing menu and views that you can check out here!
Choose from a variety of luscious steak and seafood dishes and scrumptious desserts while you get a chance to talk with Caridad about her writing and anything else that interests you!

I think it is that we are a looking for an escape. I also think that these novels speak to a universal good v. evil battle and we like seeing that conflict resolved (hopefully in a positive way!)

Wow! What a cool contest. This will be my first year at RT. Urban fantasy and paranormal romance are really hot right now. Maybe we’re all looking for a little escape from our everday lives?

I cannot think of a better 50th birthday gift for my sister. I fly from Buffalo, New York to her hometown~Houston~and we celebrate together in the best way possible: books, authors, and food.

As for the Spindle Top restaurant, great pick! I’ve actually been there… though, I don’t recommend going there after you’ve just skydived, lol… and the good is great.
You have to totally captured the spirit of RT. Meeting people, buying books and yes, some pretty handsome men.
Now we add good food and great company — woo hoo!!
I think we are going to have some fun in Houston!

As for the flying, I totally understand. I’m not a big fan, even though I have to do it pretty often.
