Today is a momentous day. My one and only is graduating high school. I’m sure I’m not the first parent to say this and I won’t be the last, but I can’t believe how time has flown. It seems like only yesterday that she was a tiny little baby. I remember her first steps and realize now that with those first steps she was already leaving me.
A difficult realization, but I also know this — she’s my best friend and will never be far.
On this very special day, here’s a wish for success in whatever she may decide to do! I know that with her passion and zest for life, she will always be reaching for the stars.
What a grand experience for you both – may it be blessed richly!
My niece is still way to young *going on close to 4 months* to start thinking about her day, but I can imagine when I look next it will be her time *grin*
Thanks, Dorothy. I managed not to bawl like a baby. I’m saving that for when I drop her off at school.
Awww…bless your heart. It’s been a few years since mine graduated…it’s so sad!
Congratulations! Really the time goes by in a blink of the eye.
At least she is not going to far away.
Congratulations!!! It’s going to be hard, but the time will soon be here when it’s time to let her make her own way in the world.
Thank you so much, Liz. It’s exciting for sure.
Congratulations to the graduate and congratulations to her parents! What a wonderful time. Enjoy!!
It is both exciting and heartbreaking. I know she will be happy. Her university is not all that far so we’ll be able to visit on occasion.
Good luck to all your family on their accomplishments as well!
Congratulations to you both. That’s so exciting and heartbreaking all at the same time.
I’ve got a niece who is off to college this fall, and another one who has been accepted to go to grad school at Gallaudette in the fall. We’re excited but they’ll be so far away!
