Lots of people think of crocuses as being the harbingers of spring when they poke their colorful little heads up over the remaining bits of snow on the ground.
For me, the best harbinger of spring is the Philadelphia Flower Show! Seeing all those lovely gardens and flowers help me survive the cold winter and remind me that spring is just a short time away.
My sis and I have a birthday ritual of visiting the show every year for my birthday! We’re going to the show tomorrow and I can’t wait to see it. This year’s theme is Bella Italia and I so love all things Italian. Here’s an image you can download from the site for the show. Proceeds from the show are for a good cause as well – The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.
Next week we’ll be having a Birthday Bash Week to celebrate! Check back for lots of guest blogs and opportunities to win some fun prizes!
I sooooo need to give you my order so I can whip my garden into shape 🙂 Have a great time!
I hope you are having a wonderful time there. Happy B-day when it comes!
I’m so jealous! I’ve never been to the Philadelphia Flower Show, but I remember the time I stumbled into Macy’s in NYC during their flower show. What a bit of serendipity–it sounds weird to say this about a department store, but it was quite magical! It’s a lovely New York memory for me!
Oooh a Birthday Bash Week, sounds like fun! 😀
