One of our favorite holiday traditions is trekking out to the Christmas tree farm to chop down our tree and then trimming it together. The final addition to the tree is always the angel on top. It’s not a fancy angel, but it was one of the first things hubby and I bought together at a local Woolworth’s for our first Christmas.
It’s up to my hubby and our daughter to sit that angel at the tippy top of the tree. Here’s some photos of them finishing our Christmas tree.

The baking of pies with my daughter, it brings back memories of my Mom and I doing it together.
Christmas morning we have Pillsbury cinnamon rolls while we open presents. Afterward, I make Eggs Benedict with asparagus for brunch. These days, then the kids go with my ex to his parents. This year, what I hope will be a new tradition: while they are gone, my bf will come over and we’ll have our Christmas.
I always have to lay under the tree and look up its branches. Over the years it gets harder and harder to fit, However, I do and it brings back memories of people that are no longer here for me to celebrate with.
Our holiday traditional is to get together on Christmas Eve to celebrate Christmas with my Mama’s family. I love that we are able to get together as a family and see family members that we don’t usually see any other time of the year.
When the kids were little we used to make cookies together but now that they are grown we like sleeping in.
Oh I love the older and newer pics! 😀 One of my fav holiday traditions is that everyone in our family still gets a stocking put up… even our larger pets!
By far, my answer has to be to attend Church on Christmas Eve. The fellowship is sooooo rewarding, the songs are amazing, the skits (especially by children) are hilarious, and the wonder of God is ever present.
