Even though it’s only been about four months since I retired from my law career, it seems like a lifetime ago already. So much has happened in that time, both personally and professionally. Good things, except of course for this coronavirus situation. I pray that all of you are safe and sound during this trying time. Today’s throwback is to the start of that legal career when I took part in the National Administrative Law Moot Court Competition. Very lawyerly looking with the tie, right? I was wearing a skirt because back then it was not considered acceptable for women to wear pants to the courtroom. Sigh. How Neanderthal. What can I say? It was and sadly still is at times, a boy’s club. I’m glad I’m out of that profession and in a woman-friendly one: Romance Novels.
