One of the things I love about Brickell Avenue Ambush is that the hero and heroine are ordinary people who are called to do extraordinary things. Ricky Gonzalez, the middle brother of the Gonzalez siblings, is a psychologist just starting his practice. Mariela Hernandez is trying to rebuild her life after divorcing her abusive husband a year earlier. Mariela is also caring for aging parents who are having health issues. When danger lands on their doorstep, they must find the courage to end a threat to not only Mariela’s life, but innocent people who may be hurt by the actions of Mariela’s ex. Another fun thing about Brickell Avenue Ambush is that you get to see what’s happening with Trey and Roni from Lost in Little Havana.
