I just delivered Escape the Everglades last week and am now working on the proposal for #3 in the South Beach Security K-9 Division spinoff, tentatively titled Killer in the Kennel. I had an initial idea for the book when I sold the series, but after some brainstorming with a good friend, I’m tweaking the plot a little. Because of that, I’m busy doing some research and later today I’ll start doing a very loose chapter outline for at least the first ten chapters of the book. I have to confess that I only do that many because a lot of times the story is writing itself by then. Interesting fact: I do that loose chapter outlining by hand in pencil in a journal. Don’t know why but there is something about the pencil on paper that helps me focus. I am hoping the SBS K-9 Division spinoff will be available in late 2023.
