Various people have been credited with the quote about editing a blank page but whether Jodi Picoult or Nora Roberts (or little ol’ me), the single most important thing for a writer is to get something down on the page. It can be hard at times. You’ve lot your muse. You don’t have time. You’re stuck on what to do next in your plot. Just put something on the page. Anything. Thanks to computers, it’s easy enough to edit what you’ve written. But as so many have said, “You can’t edit a blank page.” Happy writing!
Great post on a topic I know something about. I tend to write in spurts and take a break when my muse is silent. I often turn to editing for a few days.
