It’s true that you can’t eat just one and would you believe that if you look up “Studies on why you can’t eat just one” you’ll get dozens of articles trying to explain this phenomenon. Everything from why ultra-processed foods make us eat to how labeling them as “crunchy” is the trigger. For me, it’s that salty hit that I love! Up in Toronto, I got to try out ketchup-flavored chips. I actually liked them! Something about the mix of salt and a slight hint of tomato and vinegar did the trick. Normally I love flavored chips, like cheddar or sour cream and onion. But of course, plain chips are also tasty. What about you? Which chips do you prefer? Plain or flavored? P.S. Prefer plain chips as I am not into flavors for them as much as my family is.
I think plain is in the lead!
Before covid changed my sense of taste over 3 years ago, I loved potato chips! Salt and vinegar and sour cream and onion were my favorite!
I actually used to dip plain rolled chops in ketchup or mustard though. 🙂
