Mark Harmon on #ManCandyMonday

It seems that no matter the age, a great many women still think Mark Harmon is a sexy beast. If you’re like me or a lot of other women (and men), you are definitely tuned into not only every Tuesday night episode of NCIS, but also the daily reruns on the USA Network.

So today’s Guilty Pleasure is the still gorgeous, totally wonderful Mark Harmon! Sigh.

Thursday 13 – Must See Shows on Television

With the new television season almost here, I am chomping at the bit for new episodes of some of my old favorites as well as some interesting new ones.

So today’s Thursday 13 is a list of those Must See Shows on Television!

1. Hawaii 5-0. Okay, I must confess that I’m wondering why there are so many remakes of movies and television shows. Because their safe bets? Regardless, I have to confess I am waiting for this one although a better name for the show is probably Hottie 5-0. 😉

2. Fringe. It’s The X-Files on steroids. Totally love it! Can’t wait to see what happens with Joshua Jackson and FBI Agent Olivia Dunham.

3. The Big Bang Theory. What can I say? I love nerds and these guys are amazingly funny. 😆

4. Chuck. Nerd becomes super-computer and super-spy. Love it!

5. NCIS. Great ensemble cast and Mark Harmon. ‘Nuf said.

6. Blue Bloods. A family of New York cops with Tom Selleck as the head of the family. Tom is still Guilty Pleasure material.

7. Modern Family. OMG! This has to be one of the funniest shows ever.

8. 30 Rock. Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey are amazing together.

9. Bones. The sexual tension between Bones and Booth is great and I love all the “forensics”.

10. Undercovers. Sexy lead man and romantic suspense. Have to check it out.

11. Criminal Minds. Have liked this one for a long time. Looking forward to see how things develop this season.

12. House. What can I say. The House character is quite a piece of work and now he’s in love! Should be fascinating.

13. Chase. This one is about U.S. Marshals and seems really interesting.

Hope you enjoyed today’s Thursday Thirteen. I welcome you to add any of your “Must See Shows” in the comments section.

Guilty Pleasures Monday Redux Michael Weatherly

This morning’s Guilty Pleasure is a worthy repeat: Michael Weatherly.

If you’re wondering why I have Michael on the brain again, take a moment to visit my author spotlight at the wonderful Joyfully Reviewed website.

Michael first caught my eye as Logan Cale on DARK ANGEL, but I absolutely love him as Agent Anthony DiNozzo on NCIS!

Being a hopeful romantic, I had always wanted the Tony character to end up in a relationship with Kate. Of course that became impossible when they killed her off.

Now I’ve set my sites on Ziba as the most likely candidate for Tony. Let’s hope they don’t write Ziba out either, although as Michael commented in one interview, the NCIS really stands for “No Character is Safe.”

Let’s hope our movie-loving, wise-cracking totally sexy Tony is spared such a fate.

Guilty Pleasures Monday – Chris O’Donnell

My first recollection of today’s Guilty Pleasure – Chris O’Donnell – was his role as Robin aka Nightwing in the original Batman franchise. I thought he was a cutie back then and have been waiting for him to come back. Add the fact that I love NCIS and the pilot that ran for the spinoff looked great, I’m eagerly awaiting the premiere of the NCI: Los Angeles spin-off.

You can read more about the spin-off and see some video clips (CBS doesn’t allow you to embed them!) by visiting the official NCIS:Los Angeles web page here or cutting and pasting this link in your browser: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/ncis_los_angeles/

Are you looking forward to this spin-off of a spin-off? (The original NCIS was a spin-off from JAG)

Thoughtful Thursday – Television Shows

tvI know I’ve probably told you in the past, but I love television. Whenever I’m working on a book or cooking or exercising, the television is on. The habit goes way back. When my husband and I were first dating, he asked me if my family knew where the OFF switch was on the television.

I actually learned my first words in English from television. I vaguely recall that it was the words to the Doublemint gum commercial. You know, Doublemint adds to your fun . . .

If you had to guess which kinds of shows I watch, you’d probably guess that it would be those with either law enforcement or paranormal activities. You’d be right. I love LOST and FRINGE. I don’t miss NCIS and even catch that three hour block on USA Network when I can. BONES is another don’t miss as well as HOUSE. CRIMINAL MINDS and NUMBERS slip in there as well since I record them.

I do take time for some sitcoms, however — THE BIG BANG THEORY and CHUCK being my two favorite sitcoms. What can I say? I love nerds and both of these shows have a truly loveable collection of nerds.

What kinds of shows do you like? Are there any you won’t miss no matter what?

Also, don’t forget that there is only one more day to comment on these two blogs to be eligible to win some prizes — a CALLING T-shirt and copies of DESIRE CALLS and SOLDIER’S SECRET CHILD!
