#ManCandyMonday – Sexy Surfer Dudes Jonathan Pierce

Sorry to have been silent for the last couple of weeks, but I had the flu and it really laid me low! I’m glad to be back in the swing of things and sharing some fun with you today namely sexy surfer dude Jonathan Pierce from WHAT HAPPENS IN SUMMER. Jonathan has to be one of my fav characters from all my books. I loved his independent streak and how he balances being an amazing creator with a personal life. Don’t tell Fabio, but I read somewhere that women don’t like blonde cover models. Of course, I couldn’t find the article with that info! #ManCandyMonday – A little bit of Jonathan in your life

It’s wet and dreary in the NYC/NJ area, so I thought some of you might need a little heat in your lives. Picture Jonathan, the hero from WHAT HAPPENS IN SUMMER, washing off all that salty ocean water under a stream of nice hot water! Jon is sexy, but that’s not what made him so special for me. I loved that he was a tortured soul who was full of love for so many people. His brother and Maggie. His friend Emma. Connie. Last but not least, cute terrier Dudley who Jon could not resist when he spied him in an animal shelter.

Liam Hemsworth #ManCandyMonday #AttheShore Surfer Billionaire

If I had to cast someone to play Owen Pierce, the surfer dude turned tech billionaire from WHAT HAPPENS IN SUMMER, one name comes to mind: Liam Hemsworth. For starters, he’s a surfer and he’s got the look and those eyes. Love the eyes. Of course the rest of him isn’t bad at all either.

#FridayFunday Writers and Deadlines

If there’s one thing that writers dread, besides the synopsis of course, it’s a deadline. I, for one, freak out if a deadline is approaching and I’m not where I want to be in the story I’m writing. Luckily for me, I just finished the first draft of SINCE WE WERE 18, the first book in the Jersey Girl Bridesmaid series. I have had a blast writing Maggie and Jax’s story and am already itching to write the next one, WE DANCED ALL NIGHT which features uber responsible lawyer Connie and Jax’s brother, thrill-seeker/surfer dude/bestselling author Johnson.

In a few days that draft will be off to my agent well in advance of my deadline. But for all the other times I freaked and for all my writer friends who dread that deadline, a little fun this Friday with this quote from Douglas Adams.

I’m working on SINCE WE WERE 18 (the tentative title for #1 in the Jersey Girl Bridesmaids series) and the brother of the hero is a laid-back, thrill-seeking, surfer-type dude. His name is Johnson, but everyone calls him J for a variety of reasons. I’ve been thinking of who I might cast to play J and Liam Hemsworth came to mind. Welcome Liam to Man Crush Monday!
