With a winter storm bearing down on the Northeast, I’m trying to remember warm days, sun, and summer. I am so not a winter girl! How about you? What’s your fav time of year or place to be? This photo is from a recent trip to the Turks & Caicos Islands. Beautiful place!
#ThrowbackThursday – The Philadelphia Flower Show
I’m not a fan of cold weather and winter is tough for me. There is one thing that keeps my going until Spring arrives – The Philadelphia Flower Show. I love seeing all the amazing flowers and imagining how one day I could make my yard look like that – if only all the deer would go away! I especially love bulbs, like tulips, hyacinths, irises and more so today’s throwback is to some tulips from the 2010 Flower Show.
#FridayFun Snow Dogs (and kids)
I hope all my friends in the Northeast are okay today after yesterday’s snow! I see that some parts of Long Island got as much as 16 inches! Wow.
To help you celebrate all the white stuff, how about some snow dogs (and kids) having fun? Click here if you can’t see the Snow Dogs video below.
#ThrowbackThursday 2010 Blizzard
Except for the day of my daughter’s big move, we’ve had a fairly calm and easy winter. I hope that keeps up! This picture is a reminder of a winter that didn’t go so easily – the winter of 2010. We went to bed and woke up to this amazing deposit of snow!
Ottawa Winter Wonderland
I had a lovely time in Ottawa. The weather was a bit chilly, but it was wonderful to meet with one of my many awesome online friends, Diane. It was great to put a face to a name and share some time talking about books and writing!
The chill melted quickly with the warmth of friendship. The snow didn’t melt so quickly, LOL! When I arrived there were a few inches and we had flurries virtually every day.
For this Fun Friday, I decided to share with you this blinged up version of the Ottawa Winter Wonderland. If you can’t see the image below, you can click here.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! See you on Monday.
A Little Different Tuesday – Celebrate at RomCon With Me!
We’re having a slightly different Tuesday today for lots of reasons. It’s Groundhog Day for one and I hope that pesky critter (whose distant cousin has been ravaging my garden for years) is predicting an end to winter.
It’s also my grandma’s b’day. She would have been ancient! LOL! 106 to be exact, although she only lived to 94. Still a good age by any measurement.
But the big celebration is the launch of the ROMCON forums and a chance to win an assortment of prizes.
Here’s the note from ROMCON for you:
